About Me
I started this blog journey in Oct 2010. I quit smoking, I started working out and tried to eat well. I got obsessed with it.. I wanted to be a better me all around and over the next few months I learned that losing weight on my own was not going to be an option.
I was diagnosed with PCOS in March 2011 and I still pushed through. When i found out that weight loss surgery (WLS) was my main option and then that insurance did not help to cover it… I hit a wall. So hard.
I went from 5am workouts/ 5 days a week to just sleeping through the entire day. I was prescribed medication for depression and anxiety and got closer to my counselor.
I would say that took me from July to about Nov/Dec? Then with the new year and a new outlook I pushed for insurance again and when they still did not cover it, I made a plan. I have done research and seen two different surgeons and have decided to get the Vertical Sleeve Gastrectomy in July of 2012.
I haven’t worked out in months, it was too depressing to go and not see results in myself but in everyone else. I felt like a failure and I truly look forward to working out again and losing weight. I want to run again and I want to finish a half marathon.
I will. So sit back and enjoy the ride of my journey to a healthier and more confident.. Me.
